Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. This policy explains what cookies we use and how you can control them, in compliance with the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the GDPR.

2. Cookies We Use

Marketing Website (apexmail.ee)

The marketing website ships no scripts at all — its Content-Security-Policy blocks script execution entirely — so it embeds no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, and no advertising cookies. The only cookie associated with this site is:

  • apexmail_consent (consent preference): Records your cookie-banner choice. It is set by our API endpoint with Domain=.apexmail.ee and a one-year lifetime. It contains no personal identifiers — only your banner preference — and its only functional effect on this site is to hide the banner on future visits.

Although no client-side analytics run on this site, our web servers keep standard access logs (including IP addresses) for security and operational purposes. Access logs are covered by our Privacy Policy.

Console Application (app.apexmail.ee)

The console uses strictly necessary cookies only. No consent is required for these:

  • am_session (session): Maintains your login state on authenticated pages.
  • csrf_token (security): Double-submit token that prevents cross-site request forgery.
  • apexmail_flash (transient): Short-lived, signed cookie that carries one-time status messages (for example, form confirmations) across a redirect.
  • apexmail_consent (consent preference): As described above.

There is no theme-preference cookie: the site’s colour scheme follows your operating system’s light/dark setting automatically.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data with third parties. No third party sets cookies on our websites.

4. Your Choices

When you first visit the marketing site, a JavaScript-free cookie banner offers:

  • Accept All: Records an “all” preference and dismisses the banner. Because the site runs no analytics scripts, this enables nothing beyond recording the preference.
  • Necessary Only: Records a necessary-only preference and dismisses the banner.
  • Dismiss: Same effect as Necessary Only — records a necessary-only preference.

Your recorded choice controls only the banner on this site. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and reloading the page.

5. Managing Cookies via Browser

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored on your device.
  • Block all or third-party cookies.
  • Delete individual or all cookies.

Disabling essential cookies may prevent the ApexMail console from functioning correctly.
