Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines prohibited and acceptable uses of the ApexMail email infrastructure. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use ApexMail to send:

  • Spam: Unsolicited bulk email without prior opt-in consent.
  • Phishing: Emails designed to fraudulently obtain personal information.
  • Malware: Emails containing viruses, trojans, or malicious attachments.
  • Illegal content: Content that violates applicable laws in Estonia, the EU, or the recipient’s jurisdiction.
  • Harassment: Threatening, abusive, or defamatory content.

3. Sending Requirements

  • All recipients must have given explicit opt-in consent.
  • Every email must include a working unsubscribe mechanism.
  • Sender identity must be clearly stated (no spoofing).
  • Bounce and complaint rates must remain below 2% and 0.1% respectively.

4. Infrastructure Protection

  • Do not attempt to bypass rate limits or quotas.
  • Do not use the service for DDoS attacks or network abuse.
  • Do not share API keys or credentials.

5. Enforcement

We monitor sending patterns and will:

  1. Warn for first-time minor violations.
  2. Throttle sending for repeated issues.
  3. Suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations.
  4. Terminate accounts for egregious violations.
